Louisville beat Kentucky last night for the first time since 2020.
The Cardinals prevailed 96-88 over the Cats in front of 22,586 fans, which was the first sellout for Louisville in six years.
Last night marked the earliest the annual rivalry game has ever been played (and yes it was ridiculous to play the UK/UofL game on a Tuesday night in early November).

– Jaland Lowe and Malachi Moreno were UK’s first substitutions at the 16:24 mark.
– Kentucky led 22-19 on a four-point play by Lowe but Louisville went on a 13-0 run for a 32-22 lead.
– Louisville added a 10-0 run to stretch the lead to 46-28 with 4:38 left in the half.
– UK rallied to cut the gap to 51-46 before UofL scored to make the tally 53-46 at halftime.
– Aberdeen paced Kentucky with 13 points and four rebounds in the half.
In the Second Half
– Kentucky began the second half with the starters.
– Louisville pushed the lead to as many as 20 points at 78-58.
– A barrage of 3-pointers and a follow dunk by Kam Williams pulled the Wildcats to 83-75 at the 7:45 media timeout.
– UK cut it to 87-81, prompting a Louisville timeout at 4:45.
– A Chandler 3-pointer made it 88-84 with four minutes to go but the Wildcats got no closer.
