We knew Chicago native Jabari Parker was an elite prospect going into the FIBA Americas U16 Championship in Mexico, but he’s really starting to shine. In the first game against Brazil, Parker scored 27 points and pulled down 10 rebounds (box score). In the second game against Argentina, Parker scored 21 points and pulled down 7 rebounds (box score).
Parker is only a Junior, but already has over 20 Div I scholarship offers. He is ranked #1 in the 2013 class by Scout, #2 by ESPN and 247sports and #4 by Rivals. Kentucky is showing interest but has not offered yet.
The USA team will face Costa Rica today at 3:00 EDT.
