Zion Williamson Visiting Kentucky this Weekend

What a time for the #1 recruit in the country to be in Lexington this weekend!!

Zion Williamson, the most coveted recruit in the 2018 class, will be on an official visit this weekend to Kentucky.

It doesn’t feel like a coincidence that Williamson’s buddy, Immanuel Quickley, is making his college decision tonight right before Zion gets to campus.

Also, the Cats upsetting Florida could be another feather in the cap for the BBN as Zion will be at Kroger Field and see a sell out crowd that will hopefully be going bonkers.

SEC Country gives some insight in all the craziness that will be happening this weekend:

Remember the package deal talk between Quickley and Williamson this summer? Williamson started to back off the notion that he and Quickley had to play with each other, but maybe coach John Calipari’s crew could pull it off.

Calipari visited Williamson in Spartanburg, S.C., last week, and now the famous internet dunker and No. 2 prospect in the 2018 class will be in Lexington this weekend. Williamson will also visit Duke, Kansas and UCLA.

“It’s a big deal to get him on campus,” Scout.com director of recruiting Evan Daniels told SEC Country. “Kentucky has done a good job recruiting him and made [its] pitch for him to play alongside Immanuel. I think those two are going to make mutually exclusive decisions, but I think Kentucky is in good shape with [Williamson]. He’s been hard to handicap because a number of schools are still involved and he hasn’t really shown his hand, so every official visit is important.”

The way the schedule worked out, Saturday will be the second Kentucky football game in a row Williamson has attended. He was at the South Carolina game in Columbia last weekend as part of his visit with Frank Martin and the Gamecocks.
