In a bit of a surprising move, the UK athletics department bought a billboard near the New Orleans Arena and Mercedes-Benz Superdome and adorned it with a larger-than-life version of the ever-popular Anthony Davis poster.
[URL=”http://www.kentucky.com/2012/03/08/2101518/uk-behind-davis-billboard-adorning.html”]In a conversation with Jerry Tipton[/URL], Dwayne Peevy explained that the billboard served two primary purposes: promoting Davis’ campaign for national player of the year and giving the fans who made the 12-hour trek to New Orleans a bit of a thrill.
Pretty cool move by the UK athletics department.
