Tarleton State has named Glynn Cyprien acting head coach while Billy Gillispie remains out.
Cyprien was an assistant coach at Kentucky on Gillispie’s staff.
Gillispie has missed the team’s last four games due to an undisclosed reason.

STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Tarleton State Athletics has named Glynn Cyprien Texan Men’s Basketball acting head coach, Vice President and Director of Athletics Steve Uryasz announced on Friday.
Cyprien has led the Texans in five games this season in Billy Gillispie’s absence, including the last four.
“Coach Cyprien has been a great leader of our student-athletes over these past two seasons, and I know he will continue to represent our program well as the acting head coach,” Uryasz said.
The Texans next play Saturday at home against Utah Tech. Tip-off is slated for 4 p.m. at the EECU Center.
