Shabazz Muhammad becomes Bishop Gorman All Time Leading Scorer

Kentucky 2012 target and #1 player in the country Shabazz Muhammad has become the most prolific scorer in Bishop Gorman High School History.

[I][U][COLOR=#0066cc]Shabazz Muhammad[/COLOR][/U] became the Bishop Gorman High basketball program’s all-time leading scorer Thursday, posting a game-high 22 points in a 76-38 victory against Ohio’s Lakota East at the [/I][URL=”http://www.beachballclassic.com/Home.aspx”][I]Beach Ball Classic [/I][/URL][I]in Myrtle Beach, S.C., to surpass C.J. Watson with 1,640 career points.[/I]

[I]Watson, a guard currently with the Chicago Bulls, led Gorman to the state championship game in his final three seasons in posting 1,632 career points. Watson was the state’s player of the year as a junior and senior, helping Gorman win championships in 2000 and 2002. His jersey No. 32 is retired by the school.[/I]

[I]Muhammad, a 6-foot-6 wing who is rated as the No. 1 recruiting prospect for the class of 2012, averaged 25 points per game last year as a junior. He’s on pass to easily reach 2,000 career points.[/I]
