Richard Pitino Says Rick Pitino Would Have More Wins If He Stayed at Kentucky

Former Kentucky head coach Rick Pitino won his 900th game as a head coach yesterday at Xavier.

After the game, Richard Pitino said his dad would have a lot more wins if he would have stayed at Kentucky.

Of course, Pitino left Kentucky in 1997 after a tremendous run and took the head coaching job of the Boston Celtics. The NBA didn’t work out and he ended up at Louisville in 2001.
