Alan Smith, of Wildcat Blue Nation, was at the City of Palms Tourney and got a chance to speak with Shabazz Muhammad. Among other things, they touched on his list of schools, what his plans are as far as a time frame for his decision, and the most interesting thing to me; who he has spoken with for advise on his decision.
On which schools he is considering…
Muhammad: Kansas, Kentucky, UNLV, UCLA, USC, and Duke.
On when he will decide…
Muhammad: I’m probably going to decide in the spring. I’m just going to decide off of those six schools.
On who he looks up to, and who has given him advise on his decision…
Muhammad: I think a player that I look up to that I watch is probably Kobe Bryant. Players that I talk to that have given me advice are Derrick Rose, John Wall, and Kevin Durant. Those guys are really nice guys.
Having Rose, Wall and even Durant who spent some time in Lexington this summer, in Muhammad’s ear has to be great for Kentucky’s chances to land him.
