Mike D’Antoni Wants to See Jorts Play in Front of 20,000

Adam Zagoria has a nice article on former Kentucky Wildcat Josh Harrellson and his chances of making the New York Knicks.

Head coach Mike D’Antoni had an interesting quote in the story that makes you wonder if he has every heard of Kentucky.

He missed out on playing in an NBA summer league because of the lockout, but so far he has impressed Knicks coach Mike D’Antoni.

“I think he can be a player,” D’Antoni said Wednesday. “I think that he’s a skilled big man who knows how to play. Now we’ll see if that translates into a game, but so far, so good. Really happy with him….We’ll see when 20,000 people are in there [watching him].”

Really, just 20,000??

Josh might laugh at the size of that crowd since he is used to playing in front of 24, 000 on a game by game basis in Rupp Arena.

Heck, he played in front of 70,000 in the Final 4!!!
