Head coach Mark Stoops met with the media earlier this week to preview Kentucky’s week one game against Toledo.
“Very excited to get going,” Stoops said in his opening statement. “As you know, this time of year I think you all are ready to see a game. You’re tired of hearing me talk, and I’m tired of talking, quite honestly. I’m excited to get going.”
Stoops had plenty of praise for Toledo, which comes in to Kroger Field as a tough MAC opponent.
“I’m glad we have a very good opponent coming in here in Toledo,” Stoops said about the Rockets. “(Head Coach) Jason Candle has been extremely consistent. He and his staff have been there together for a long time. They are definitely a worthy opponent. ”
