Kentucky got out of Norman with a gritty 21-13 victory over Oklahoma on Saturday night.
With the win, the Wildcats have locked up bowl eligibility in mid-October and stamped a claim for a spot in the upcoming College Football Playoff Rankings.
Tight end Willie Rodriguez scored Kentucky’s two offensive touchdowns with five-star 2027 prospect Seneca Driver watching from the stands. Driver, a star for Boyle County High School, is committed to Oklahoma but would certainly be welcomed at any program in American, including Kentucky.
Jordan Castell scored the other touchdown for the Cats (6-1, 4-1 SEC) with a pick six to seal the win late.
Quarterback Kenny Minchey was 21-for-28 for 158 yards and 2 touchdowns against the stingy Oklahoma defense. Nic Anderson led Kentucky with 5 receptions for 48 yards. Rodriguez finished with 5 catches for 38 yards and the two scores.
Jason Patterson led the ground game with 12 carries for 38 yards.
Oklahoma feel to 3-3 and 1-2 in the league with the loss.
