Kentucky Uses Three-Point Barrage to Run Away from Tennessee Tech

Kentucky torched the nets on the way to a 104-54 win over Tennessee Tech Wednesday night at Rupp Arena.

The Wildcats (5-2) shot 15-for-30 (50%) from the three-point line in the win.

Denzel Aberdeen, Otega Oweh and Trent Noah led the way for the Cats with 16 points each. Collin Chandler added 14 points and 5 assists. Freshman Malachi Moreno chipped in a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Kentucky dished out 27 assists on 39 made field goals.

Tennessee Tech head coach John Pelphrey, one of Kentucky’s famed Unforgettables, likes the potential Mark Pope’s team.

“The team is deep. The team is skilled. I think they have a tremendous upside,” Pelphrey said after the game. “They will not be the same team 30 days from now, 60 days from now. They are going to continue to get better and better and better.”
