Kentucky Destroys Florida to End SEC Home Losing Streak, Keep Bowl Hopes Alive

Kentucky used a big second quarter to pull away from Florida and cruise to a big 38-7 win tonight at Kroger Field.

The Wildcats (4-5, 2-5 SEC) dominated the Gators on both sides of the ball in the win.

Cutter Boley finished 18-for-23 for 168 yards, 2 touchdowns and 1 interception. Dante Dowdell led the Cats on the ground with 7 carries for 104 yards, including a 65-yard touchdown run. Seth McGowan added 22 carries for 92 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Check out some highlights from the game:

Tonight’s win gives Kentucky a legitimate chance to qualify for a bowl game. The Cats should be able to take care of FCS Tennessee Tech next weekend, although the Golden Eagles are 10-0 this season. A win next weekend would mean Kentucky would need to win at either Vanderbilt or Louisville to return to a bowl game.
