Kentucky women’s basketball coach Kenny Brooks reportedly “has interest” in the open head coaching job at Virginia.
Phoenix Stevens of Kentucky Sports Radio was first to indicate that there could be some smoke between Brooks and Virginia.
Brooks is 48-19 in two seasons at Kentucky.
I was asked later on what % chance I thought Kenny Brooks would be back at Kentucky next season, which I said 85%.
There has been some chatter that Brooks may be a candidate for the Virginia job.
I question if he’ll officially get offered the job based on what I’ve heard tho https://t.co/qGBvVazt01

Developing Story
Kentucky’s Kenny Brooks has interest in the Virginia job and could bolt if the interest is mutual, according to @PStevensKSR
While it is likely he stays, given Virginia may not be interested, this is something to watch, as Virginia will take a big swing here pic.twitter.com/38JwQE32x6

Here is the latest update from Stevens, which seems to indicate Brooks might stay at Kentucky even if he’s offered the Virginia job:
I originally thought Kenny Brooks would be gone for certain if Virginia came to him with a job offer.
After talking with sources, I no longer believe that to be the case. Even if Brooks is offered the Virginia job, I have reason to believe he'd potentially stay in Lexington. https://t.co/0f3OucxqR9
