John Calipari gave an encouraging update on injured forward Derek Willis this morning on the SEC conference call.
From the sounds of it, Willis could return as soon as Saturday. At the very least he should be back for the SEC Tournament.
“He went on the practice floor and ran up and down (Sunday),” Calipari said, “and I didn’t see any black and blue or swelling.”
Calipari said it is unlikely Willis returns for tomorrow’s game at Florida, “but he’s going up and down.”
