Former Sacramento Kings assistant coach Nancy Lieberman recently spoke to The TFU Podcast about what it was like handling DeMarcus Cousins as a player.
Lieberman explained that Cousins was often misunderstood because he had trouble trusting people.
“DeMarcus is a tough guy,” Lieberman said. “He probably deals with a lot, internally. He can explode, a lot of people can, if something is not right. He’s very talented. I don’t think he trusts a lot of people. And that’s really a question for DeMarcus, but I liked him. And he could be cold, he could be stand-offish, but at the end of the day, he cared about his teammates.”
