Former University of Kentucky football star Craig Yeast led the Mercer County Titans to an impressive 9-1 record in his first season as the school’s head coach.
As a result, Yeast was named 2023 KHSAA 3A District 4 Coach of the Year on Wednesday.
The Titans open the playoffs Friday night against LaRue County (1-9) in Harrodsburg. The winner will play the winner of Casey County (5-5) and Central (5-5) next week.
