Coach Cal’s Dominican Republic team beat up on Cuba this morning 90-60 to win their first game of the FIBA Americas tournament.
Cuba looked totally overmatched as Al Horford led the DR with 24 points in 29 minutes and 9 rebounds.
Jack Michael Martinez had 16 points, Edgar Sosa had 14, and Charlie Villanueva added 11.
Francisco Garcia continued his poor shooting with a 1-5 clip from behind the arc for 7 points.
The Dominicans are now 1-0 in the Americas tournament, and will play Canada Sept. 1st at 6pm..
