Brandon Knight is staying busy during the lockout and it sounds like he is staying true to form by working out and taking classes.
And, he’s been busy in the weight room.
”I feel like I’ll be strong enough,” said Knight, who weighs 185 pounds but is slightly built.
”I’m happy with my development so far this summer.”
The lockout, however, presented somewhat of a silver lining for Knight.
Despite spending one year in college, Knight had 90 credits at the time he was drafted.
A 4.28 student in high school, Knight’s had a chance to continue his education.
”I’m taking online classes,” he said. “As far as taking a full load, I’m going to wait and see what happens (with the lockout).”
And when he gets word camp will start, Knight gladly will make the trek back to Detroit, which made an impression on him during a visit in June. He threw out the first pitch at a Tigers game June 24.
”Just going there, there was a lot of love from the fans,” Knight said. “The biggest thing (that impressed me) was how they received me. It wasn’t even a basketball game.”

Knight also states that he will not go overseas and play if the lockout continues.
