Ansley Almonor joins La Familia roster for this summer

Former Kentucky forward Ansley Almonor has joined the La Familia alumni roster for The Basketball Tournament this summer.

Almonor joins Aaron Harrison, Andrew Harrison, Doron Lamb, DeAndre DeLiggins and Willie Cauley-Stein on La Familia’s roster.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 16, 2025) — La Familia, the University of Kentucky alumni team, hosting The Basketball Tournament’s (TBT) regional at Historic Memorial Coliseum from July 18th-July 23rd, announced today the addition of 2025 graduate Ansley Almonor to their roster. .

Almonor will join Aaron Harrison, Andrew Harrison, Doron Lamb, DeAndre DeLiggins, and Willie Cauley-Stein as the first six commitments for La Familia’s roster. Additional roster announcements will be made in the coming weeks.

Almonor spent the first three years of his collegiate career at Fairleigh Dickinson University, where he scored over 1,000 points in three years, setting the program record for most 3-pointers in a single season. Almonor transferred to Kentucky for his final year of eligibility in the 2024/25 season. He appeared in all 36 games, making seven starts, and became the first player in Kentucky men’s basketball history to shoot at least 50% from the field, 40% from three, and 90% from the free-throw line in a season. He averaged 5.3 points, scored in double figures 11 times, and hit a season-high 15 points on Senior Night against LSU.

The winner of the Lexington Regional will advance to TBT’s quarterfinals on July 29. The semifinals will be held on July 31, and TBT’s $1 million championship will be played on Aug. 3.
