Today is the last day of the early signing period, and as it draws to a close, word is that Amile Jefferson will not make a decision and Jarnell Stokes is up in the air, though not likely to decide.
According to Adam Zagoria, when Jefferson’s coach was asked if he would sign late, he stated, “Looks like he’s going to have to.”
As for Jarnell Stokes, he was quoted last week as saying “I’m leaning towards committing after signing period and then signing in spring, but who knows? Next Tuesday I might just all of a sudden have it and get ready to just commit and sign.”
Well, to quote a great piece of American poetry, “Tuesday’s gone…” as well as most of today. And no word from Stokes. Looks like we may be waiting until the spring for more than Shabazz Muhammad’s decision.
