Former Kentucky big man Amari Williams was preparing for an NBA G League game during the day on Friday.
Then, Williams got a call that the Boston Celtics needed him in an NBA game. He hopped on a plane and arrived about two hours before tip.
The Celtics turned to Williams in overtime against the Nets, and he delivered in a big way. Williams had 3 points, 1 assist and 1 block in 5 minutes to help Boston earn a 130-126 victory.
