Since 1993 WKU is 7-8 in NCAA Tournament games, and the rest of the Sun Belt Conference
is a combined 0-14.

The Wildcats are 105-46 (.695) in the NCAA Tournament and 3-1 in NCAA Tournament games held in Louisville. The last time UK played in the NCAA Tournament in the Queen City was in 1961.

WKU upset the fourth-ranked Wildcats 64-52 in front of 21,104 people at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Ky., in the 2001-02 season opener in the NABC Classic.

[B]Cats in Louisville[/B]
The Wildcats are 123-33 all-time in games played in Louisville. The last time UK played a postseason game in Louisville was in the 1961 NCAA Tournament where they went 1-1.
UK has only played once in the KFC Yum! Center, beating Louisville there during the 2011
season.

Kentucky is making its 11th appearance as a No. 1 seed. The Cats were a one-seed in the 2010 tournament, when they advanced to the Elite Eight before losing to No. 2 seed West Virginia, 73-66.

The two have played twice previously in the NCAA Tournament, with Kentucky earning a 71-64 win in the second round of the 1986 tournament in Charlotte most recently. WKU was the eighth seed in the Southeast Region that year and advanced to face top-seeded Kentucky after a 67-59 fi rstround win over Nebraska. Against the Wildcats in the 1986 tournament, Kannard Johnson had 20 points on 7-of-16 shooting, and Billy Gordon had 14. Kenny Walker powered Kentucky with 32 points on a perfect 11-for-11 shooting night.
