The Kentucky Big Blue All Stars couldn’t overcome strong performances by Corey Brewer, Rudy Gay, and Eric Gordon as they lost in overtime to the Villains coached by Christian Laettner 152-149 in front of roughly 10,000 fans in Rupp Arena.
The All Stars were led in scoring by Jodie Meeks’ 42 points on 18-30 shooting. Meeks was the go to guy for most of the night, but his teammates couldn’t find him when the game was on the line at the end of regulation.
Injuries plagued the All Stars as the leading scorer in the first half, Brandon Knight, went down with an ankle injury early in the second half. Knight had 20 points in 19 minutes and really kept the game close in the 1st half.
DeMarcus Cousins was also seen with an ice pack on his ankle and finished with only 8 points in 15 minutes.
The biggest loss of the night was John Wall as he strolled in midway through the first half and no one really knows why he didn’t dress or play.
Rajon Rondo finshed with 21 points on 9-20 shooting and had 14 assists, but probably would have more if Enes Kanter could catch one of his passes.
Kanter had a rough night and looked really overwhelmed at times playing in Rupp Arena for the first time. Enes finished with a double double, scoring 14 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.
The Villains were led by Florida alum Corey Brewer who scored 32 points and was followed by Rudy Gay who netted 25 points.
Eric Gordon had 24 points on 6-9 shooting from behind the arc.
Kenneth Faried has several wow moments as he scored 16 points and 10 rebounds and continued to be the biggest force in the paint.

[*]Christian Laettner was ejected at the end of the 4th quarter after receiving 2 technicals.
[*]Laettner also got a towel and cleaned the sweat off of the floor around the free throw line…Chuck Hayes shook his head and put more sweat on the floor and motioned to him like he missed a spot.
[*]Kenneth Faried swatted Enes Kanter and he tried to go to the basket. Bad idea by Enes.
[*]Terrence Williams embarrassed himself getting stuffed by the rim when he tried to showboat on a wide open dunk.
[*]Williams was also seen flipping off the crowd as he walked into the locker room at halftime.
