Thought I would weigh in on a couple of topics today and this is strictly my opinion so if you don’t agree, then please let me know so I can disagree back.

Dez Wells, who has visited Kentucky today, is an interesting development for the Kentucky Basketball team, especially since Louisville was the team supposedly be in the lead.
The big question everyone has to be asking is should Kentucky be involved with Wells who was recently expelled from Xavier. Now it seems like the Xavier administration jumped the gun by expelling Wells, but does that mean Kentucky should stake their claim on a kid that could potentially be a bad apple in the locker room?
It doesn’t really matter what I think, but my guess John Calipari will offer him a scholarship if he is eligible for the upcoming season.
I keep thinking about Tony Woods, who eventually ended up at Oregon, and how Calipari had a meeting with former president Lee Todd and athletic director Mitch Barnhart with Woods to make sure everyone was on board if the embattled player picked Kentucky.
I expect the same thing could occur if Wells ends up at Kentucky this season. John Calipari can do no wrong right now and if anyone can change the perception of someone it is him.
I just don’t expect every Kentucky fan to jump on board right away if he does indeed join the blue and white.

One player that hasn’t gotten a lot of press on the Kentucky Football team, especially since he is a freshman, is quarterback Jalen Whitlow.
Joker Phillips has made sure to barely mention any freshman, especially quarterbacks, but it sounds like to me after today’s practice that the 6’2″ 200 pounder will be running the Wildcat this season.
Joker mentioned today there would be only 1 QB running the Wildcat, considering Morgan Newton is very unlikely to be that guy, the next logical choice is Whitlow.
Everyone knows that Patrick Towles is a drop back passer and not known for his running ability.
Don’t be surprised if you see the Wildcat sooner rather than later and look for #13 behind center when that happens.

I’ll leave you with Kentucky athletes, including Jarrod Polson, Archie Goodwin, Nerlens Noel and others, fooling around with a green screen on UK Rewind.
