Stephenson Isn’t Done Yet

Yes, that title is correct. Stephenson High’s football program is far from done in regards to putting recruits on the college gridiron, and Kentucky may not be done with them either.

With DeMarcus Sweat and Shawn Blaylock already committed to UK, it won’t hurt the team at all with those two recruiting their friends and teammates.

The two popular names that stick out to me right now are running back T.J. Moon and defensive back Kristoff Ricks.

Neither have received an offer from the ‘Cats yet, but after their recent camp in Lexington, it could just be a matter of time, just like Sweat and Blaylock.

Moon currently holds offers from Boston College and Memphis, as well as receiving interest from Mississippi State.

Ricks is gaining interest from other teams, like Ball State, UConn, Arkansas State, Buffalo, and Middle Tennessee State, but he stated in a previous interview with me that if he gets an offer from Kentucky, “it is an automatic commitment.”

It is obvious that Ricks would like to join his friends at UK, and while I haven’t discussed such things with Moon (his interview will come soon), I am confident he feels the same and would be interested in committing to Kentucky as well.

Stephenson High School should be a very interesting place throughout the next few months for Kentucky, and be sure to keep an eye out for more commitments.
