Hello all! I am back in school for my senior year of high school. We have had 2 full weeks of classes already. I was honored to attend Adidas Nations in LA the first part of August and I just returned home from Elite 24 at Venice Beach last Sunday. Both were great experiences and I had a lot of fun. The weather in California was great. In Wichita it has been over 100 degrees for over 45 days, so it has really been hot in Kansas this summer. Since school had already started for me and I am taking several hard classes I decided to miss Wednesday and Thursday activities for the Elite24. I arrived in LA late Thursday night. I didn’t miss school on Friday because it was Parent swap day so my parents attended classes for me. They got a taste of what school is like and saw how tough some of my classes are. My mom even had to try and take notes for me and least my parents didn’t have to take a test for me. Don’t want them to mess up by GPA.

I decided after I came home from Adidas Nations and before school started that I would cut my list to four. My parents, my High School Coach Joe Auer, my AAU coach Steve Young, and I all sat down and talked about it. Coach Auer thought it would be good if we all wrote down on a piece of paper our personal top four schools and then we would all turn them in to him. Just for a place to start. Well, we didn’t all have the same four schools listed, but we did have probably 3 the same on everyone’s list.

The reason I picked Kansas, Kansas State, Kentucky and Wichita State were because of the comfort level I had with all of them. Most of them had been recruiting me since before my freshman year even started. I have visited them all several time and just have a great relationship with all these coaches. I decided that I would just focus on these four schools that I felt the most comfortable with. These coaches had all attended several of my high school games over the past three years and followed me the last several summers very closely. All these programs made me their priority and I saw that. I am thankful to have had offers from all the schools that were recruiting me.

I have decided to only schedule my in-home visits at this time. I want to wait until after I have met with each school one-on-one and then I will decide who I will take official visits with. My in-home visits are scheduled as follows on Sept 9[SUP]th[/SUP] with Kansas, Sept 12[SUP]th[/SUP] Kansas State and Sept 13[SUP]th[/SUP] Wichita State. Kentucky coaches are staying in touch with me while they are out of the country with the Dominican team. They said they want to schedule an in-home visit but it will be after the 13[SUP]th[/SUP] when they return.

Many people are deciding which midnight madness they are attending. My plan at this time is to not announce which Midnight madness I will be attending until I have had all my in-home visits completed. I will make my decision at that time.

It’s college football time and everyone has been talking about. I get asked who I root for, but I don’t follow college football that closely. I have a good friend Jordan Phillips that plays for Oklahoma this year, so I am probably going to root for OU.

Well, that’s all I have. See ya until next time!
