NBA of the Day

Rajon Rondo earned Player of the Game accolades again as his Celtics overcame the lowly Cavaliers 112-95. Rondo shot 5 of 8 from the field, making his only 3-point attempt for 11 points on the evening. He finished his double-double with 10 assists, 5 rebounds and 4 steals in 40+ minutes of play (+15 over/under).

Nazr Mohammed and the Bobcats faced off against DeMarcus Cousins and the Kings, with Charlotte coming away victorious (94-89). Mohammed saw 14:32 of play and hit only 1 of 4 shooting. He did make 2 of his 4 free-throw attempts, and nabbed 5 rebounds for a flat (0) over/under.

Cousins didn’t do much better, shooting 2 of 8 from the field, but adding 5 of 8 from the charity stripe. He finished out his stat line with 3 rebounds, 2 steals and an assist. Cousins fouled out halfway through the 4th quarter, ending up with a +1 over/under.

Eric Bledsoe and the Clippers lost to Dallas, 112-105. Bledsoe finished with only 3 points on 1 of 2 shooting (1 of 3 from the line). He also garnered 4 assists and a steal in 16:22 of play, finishing with a +11 over/under.

John Wall’s Wizards couldn’t keep up with a high-scoring Denver team last night, as Washington fell 120-109. For his part, Wall got another double-double, scoring 10 points on 4 of 8 shooting (2 of 3 free-throws) and adding 13 assists. He also had 5 rebounds and 2 steals, nearly fouling out with 5 fouls on the night (as most of you know, the NBA allows 6 fouls before requiring you to leave the game).
