The Kentucky Wildcats weathered a second half storm by Iowa State and smacked the Cyclones out of the NCAA Tournament with a 87-71 beatdown in the Yum Center to move on to the Sweet 16 in Atlanta next week.
The Wildcats improved to 34-2 on the season with the help of a super performance from point guard Marquis Teague.
Teague finished with a career high 24 points, netting 13 in the first half, had 7 assists and only 2 turnovers.
Anthony Davis finished with his 18th double-double of the seasonas he scored 15 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, and dished out 5 assists.
Doron Lamb also had a nice game as he busted 5 three pointers, scoring 16 points, which moved him within 49 points for 1,000 in his career at Kentucky.
Darius Miller finished with 19 points, while shooting 7-11 from the field and 3-6 from behind the arc.
The Wildcats used a 20-2 run, after Royce White proclaimed he was the best player in the world, to put the game away and make the score a commanding 62-44.
Kentucky seems to be gaining back their momentum, and if I was Indiana, I would be praying I hit all of my threes in Catlanta.
