After having a big week a couple of weeks ago in recruiting, the Wildcats have boosted their class yet again. The Cats added their fifth commit for the 2013 class in the surprise pickup of kicker Austin MacGinnis, according to Chris Sailer.
According to ChrisSailerkicking.com MacGinnis is a five-star kicker, and fourth in the country. After landing a kicking specialist last season in Landon Foster, I expect the Alabama native to be the kicker and Foster to be the punter for the upcoming season.
If you want a better analysis on the newest commit here is a quote from the “kicking specialist” himself, Chris Sailer.
“Austin is a tremendous kicker. He has a huge leg and makes kicks with ease off the ground. Kickoffs are D1 ready right now. A great competitor that kicks well under pressure. Is going to be a phenomenal D1 player. Great pick up for Kentucky!”
Stay tuned for a complete interview with the latest commit.
