Joker Phillips to Hold Women’s Football Clinic

It was announced last week that the Kentucky football program will hold its annual Women’s Clinic on the 28[SUP]th[/SUP] of July. This is a unique opportunity for female UK fans to get a glimpse behind the scenes of football in the bluegrass while also interacting with the coaches and players.

The Women’s Clinic first began in 2002 under then-head coach Rich Brooks, and Joker Phillips took over the helm when he succeeded Brooks as head coach in 2010.

Coach Calipari offers a similar basketball clinic for female fans in the early fall, and both events typically see an excellent turnout.

This full-day experience takes place at Commonwealth Stadium, with the morning devoted to presentations on an array of football-related subjects. After lunch, the offense, defense and special teams will perform drills for the audience, and the afternoon will conclude with a special guest speaker.

The clinic is an unparalleled chance for women to see the program up close and personal, regardless of their level of football knowledge. It’s a great way for Joker and the team to connect with a major part of the fan base and drum up excitement for the upcoming season, all while showing their appreciation for the women of the Big Blue Nation.
