Aaron Gordon is the best player on the West Coast in the Class of 2013. With his success at Archbishop Mitty High School and with the Oakland Soldiers, Gordon received a lot of interest from schools around the country early in the process, including Kentucky.
However, it looks like UK is confident with what they can get in 2013. Gordon hasn’t heard much from the staff in a very long time, as he told us at BluegrassHoops.
He did say he has a top five of Washington, Arizona, Oregon, Stanford, and New Mexico, in no order.
With that being said, it looks like both parties are taking steps away from each other.
Gordon also had a lot of good things to say about Arizona with our buddies from PointGuardU.
While it is depressing to see a good recruit falling away, fans can look at it this way: it looks like Cal likes where he is with Nerlens Noel, Chris Walker, and other big men/forwards from the Class of 2013.
What are your thoughts about one of the premiere players out west losing interest in Kentucky?
