There has been a flurry of activity regarding new offers to the class of 2012 after Kentucky’s recent Junior Day. I’ve been trying to keep up with them all on Twitter and the blogs (hat tip to [URL=”http://twitter.com/BriEldridge”]Brian Eldridge[/URL] of Scout and the guys over at [URL=”http://www.bleedbluekentucky.com/”]BleedBlueKentucky.com[/URL]). It looks like the following players all received scholarship offers from Kentucky yesterday.
[URL=”http://www.wildcatrecruits.com/playerProfile.php?Contact_ID=743″]Ryan Anderson[/URL] – Anderson is a 6’ 3”, 248 lb DE from Daphne HS in Daphne, AL. His interest is listed as “high”, and other schools on his list include Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Illinois, South Alabama, Tennessee, and UAB.
[URL=”http://www.wildcatrecruits.com/playerProfile.php?Contact_ID=744″]Dominique Gibson[/URL] – Gibson is a 5’ 10”, 190 lb LB from Glades Central HS in Belle Glade, FL. Other schools recruiting Gibson include East Carolina, Florida, Georgia and TCU.
[URL=”http://www.wildcatrecruits.com/playerProfile.php?Contact_ID=745″]Justin Shanks[/URL] – Shanks is a 4-star DT hailing from Prattville HS in Prattville, AL. The 6’ 4”, 294 lb Junior has interest from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia Tech, Miami (Fl), Oregon, South Alabama and Southern Miss and is considered a long shot for the Cats.
[URL=”http://www.wildcatrecruits.com/playerProfile.php?Contact_ID=649″]Jerry Williams[/URL] – Williams was previously offered a Walk-On position with the Cats and accepted yesterday. He is a 6’ 0”, 195 lb Athlete from Henry Clay HS in Lexington. Other schools on his list included Bowling Green, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Clemson, Florida, Miami (Fl), Oregon and West Virginia.
[URL=”http://www.wildcatrecruits.com/playerProfile.php?Contact_ID=734″]Joe Bolden[/URL] – Bolden is a 3-star OLB out of Colerain HS in Cincinnati. The 6’ 3”, 230 lb Junior has also received interest from Arizona, Boston College, Cincinnati, Illinois, Indiana, Miami (Oh), North Carolina, Northwestern, Ohio, Stanford, Tennessee and West Virginia.
[URL=”http://www.wildcatrecruits.com/playerProfile.php?Contact_ID=746″]Travares Copeland[/URL] – Copeland is a 3-star Athlete from Treasure Coast HS in Port Saint Lucie, FL. He is 6’ 0”, 180 lbs, and is also looking at Alabama, Florida, Florida St, Georgia St, Louisville, LSU, Miami (Fl) and South Florida.
[URL=”http://www.wildcatrecruits.com/playerProfile.php?Contact_ID=747″]Darreon Herring[/URL] – Herring is a 6’ 3”, 200 lb OLB from football factory Stephenson HS in Stone Mountain, GA. He is also receiving interest from Duke, Memphis, South Florida, Southern Miss, Vanderbilt and West Virginia.

He is a 6’ 5”, 232 lb QB from Highlands HS in Ft. Thomas, KY. Towles is also considering Cincinnati, Louisville, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Penn State and Illinois – but I really hope he chooses Kentucky.
