I mentioned in an earlier article (after the West Virginia game) that the revenge games were over and now it was time for “statement” games. Kentucky’s road to the championship was (at that time) strewn with blue-blooded teams like North Carolina, Duke and Kansas. And then Duke got beat and suddenly that was no longer 100% correct.
However; maybe the road is still strewn with revenge games. Let’s look at the tournament games starting with West Virginia and make out a little “to-do” list.

[*]Beat Ohio State for beating us in every other NCAA game we’ve ever played them – check
[*]Beat North Carolina for beating us earlier this year – to do
[*]Beat UConn for beating us earlier this year – to do
[*]Beat Kansas for beating Calipari in the National Championships in 2008 – to do

Granted, there is no guarantee that UK beats UNC tomorrow, let alone that UConn and Kansas advance, but I’m starting to see the revenge factor in this entire tournament run.
