There were a couple of big recruits in attendance to watch the Kentucky-North Carolina game on Saturday. [B]Derek Willis, Xavier Rathan-Mayes, [/B]and[B] Andrew Wiggins [/B]visited, along with signee Alex Poythress.

“It was great! I had a great time,” Rathan-Mayes began. “I loved everything. The fans, the coaching, everything was awesome.”
If one can’t tell, Rathan-Mayes was very impressed with what he saw inside Rupp. But what stuck out the most for the junior took place inside the locker room before the game.
“Before the game, we got to go inside the locker room and see the pre-game stuff and how Kentucky prepares for the game. It’s crazy how in-depth the coaches get with everything,” Rathan-Mayes explained.
“They went through each player, and they even talked about their go-to moves. That really stuck out to me.”
The young Canadian also took in a lot of positive things from the game itself, besides its dramatic ending and high-profile rating.

[/B][/U]”It was a really fun game and visit. Everything was exciting, and the atmosphere was great. I definitely enjoyed myself,” said a satisfied Willis Sunday afternoon.
The in-state power forward made the trip to to Lexington to see one of the best games of the young season. While he did admit it was a great game, he came away a little confused by the end result.
“I was confused when everyone stopped when [Anthony] Davis blocked [John] Henson’s shot. North Carolina had plenty of time to foul,” the junior explained. “But the block was big, that’s for sure.”
Coming into the game, the 6-foot-8 star was focused on a couple of people in particular.
