Postgame Notes from the Biggest Win of the Mark Pope Era at Kentucky

Last night started a little slow, but it ended up being the biggest win (50 points) of the Mark Pope era at Kentucky.

The Cats tied a season-high with 15 made three-pointers in the 104-54 win over Tennessee Tech.

Individually, walk-ons Walker Horn and Zach Tow both scored their first career points in the win.

– Otega Oweh had a season-high 16 points and has scored in double figures in all seven games this season.
– Denzel Aberdeen scored 16 points.
He has scored in double figures in all seven games for UK this season, the longest streak of consecutive games in double figures of his career.
– Trent Noah had a career night with 16 points and six rebounds.
He made his first four field goal attempts, including three 3-pointers.
– Collin Chandler bagged 14 points and a game-high five assists. He has made a 3-pointer in his last 14 games and is shooting 20-41 (.488) from distance for the season
– Malachi Moreno had 13 points and a career-high 11 rebounds, his second double-double. He also had three assists and two blocked shots.
– Andrija Jelavic had a career-best 10 rebounds while adding five points and three assists with no turnovers.
– Walker Horn and Zach Tow scored their first points as Wildcats, Horn on a 3-pointer and Tow with a free throw.
– Jaland Lowe, Mo Dioubate and Jayden Quaintance missed the game because of injury.

In the First Half

– Kentucky began the second half with the starters.
– UK had a 13-0 run midway through the half.
– The final score was UK’s largest margin of the game.
– The 61 points scored in the second half were the most in a half for Kentucky under Coach Pope.
