St. John’s struggled in the first half against Providence earlier this season.
The Red Storm went into the halftime locker room trailing 42-29. Rick Pitino entered the room and gave a fiery motivational speech that propelled his players to come back and get a hard fought 72-70 win.

Pitino has St. John’s sitting on top of the Big East Conference with a 22-4 record this season. The Red Storm are in line to earn a top four seed in the NCAA Tournament.
