Xavier big man Jack Nunge banked in a shot with just over 3 seconds to play to give Xavier a 73-72 win over Texas A&M in the championship game of the NIT.
A&M had a good look at the buzzer but it rimmed in and out.
The Musketeers won the NIT under the leadership of interim head coach Jonas Hayes. New head coach Sean Miller was in the stands watching.
