Will Levis is already in the Pro Football Hall of Fame

Former Kentucky quarterback Will Levis has already found his way into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The Oilers-styled helmet that Levis wore during his debut game in week 8 has been placed in the Hall of Fame. The significance is that Levis became only the third player in NFL history to throw four touchdown passes in his NFL debut.

Here is a release about the helmet:

A second-round pick by the Tennessee Titans in the 2023 NFL Draft, quarterback Will Levis made his NFL debut in Week 8 against the Atlanta Falcons.

Levis became the third player in league history to throw for four touchdowns in his first game, joining Hall of Famer FRAN TARKENTON(Opens in a new window) in 1961 and Marcus Mariota, who made his NFL debut with the Titans in 2015.

For the game, Levis completed 19 passes for 238 yards.

The Titans donned their throwback Columbia blue and white uniforms in the game, paying homage to the Houston Oilers, who relocated to Tennessee following the 1996 season and later changed their name to the Titans before the 1999 campaign. In Week 17, Levis and the Titans wore the throwback uniforms for a second time against the Houston Texans.

Levis’ game-worn helmet from his NFL debut has been placed on display in the Hall of Fame’s “Pro Football Today Gallery.”
