No. 4 Maryland vs. No. 5 West Virginia (pick ’em); 8:40 p.m. ET, TNT: West Virginia sputtered near the end of the season with Juwan Staten sidelined because injury, but the Mountaineers star guard returned against Buffalo and settled right back into form. Maryland, of course, has its own star in Melo Trimble, and the Terps freshman is more than capable of neutralizing WVU’s pressure defense. This a “pick ’em” for a reason, but I would say that Dez Wells and Jake Layman — Maryland’s two veterans — are the X-factors in determining which team gets the “honor” of facing Kentucky in the Sweet 16.
I think I would rather play WVU to pay back the Mountaineers for beating Wall and Cousins.
Also, I am kind of worried about the matchup with Maryland.
