Who is Kentucky Football’s Top Rival in Recruiting?

According to Saturdaydownsouth.com Kentucky’s top rival in recruiting is not in the SEC. SDS has Cincinnati tabbed as Kentucky’s top recruiting rival.

KENTUCKY

NO. 1 RECRUITING RIVAL: Cincinnati
RUNNER UP: Any Big Ten school that doesn’t play home games in front of 100,000-plus fans.
WHO’S WINNING?: Thanks to Mark Stoops and his ties to Ohio, Kentucky has focused its recruiting attack northward and it has worked like a charm the past few years. If Stoops and his staff produce on the field as they have in recruiting–and we’ll bank on that–this team will be back in bowl games in about two or three years and could consistently win at least half its SEC games each year. Kentucky has reached into Ohio so many times, it must be a concern to every Big Ten school not named Ohio State, Michigan or Penn State. And we threw Cincinnati as the chief rival because … well, after a ton of recent 10-win seasons, the Bearcats have to be concerned that when 10-to-15 non-Ohio State level kids are going south to the SEC and Kentucky, it’s going to have an effect on the Bearcats, who have won a lot of games the past decade with what might be called the “Buckeyes’ leftover talent”. Let’s face it, even with only two wins last year, getting to play in the SEC is a recruiting selling point … and it’s working for the Wildcats.
