Westerville (Ohio) Central Safety Rickey Hyatt Commits To Kentucky

Westerville (Ohio) Central safety Rickey Hyatt has committed to Kentucky.

Hyatt, a three-star prospect, chose UK over Michigan State and others.

According to 247 Sports:

Hyatt took his official visit to Michigan State back in June. The trips to the Wildcats and Spartans campuses were the only officials he used. Other offers included Cincinnati, North Carolina, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Iowa State, Louisville, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Rutgers and West Virginia. At one point Notre Dame and Ohio State offered as well.

As a junior, Hyatt registered 94 tackles and three interceptions. He is a good athlete with laser-timed 4.68 speed in the 40-yard dash along with a more impressive 4.0 shuttle showing off that change of direction and a 33-10 inch vertical, all verified from a The Opening Regional back in March. He was a top safety target for Kentucky alongside Vito Tisdale. Tisdale is also trending toward the Wildcats on the 247Sports Crystal Ball. There’s also a good chance they’re not done in Ohio as they are in the lead group if not at the top for Top247 all-purpose back Michael Drennen II out of Dublin (Ohio) Coffman.
