West Virginia’s Loss Leaves Kentucky Feeling Peachy in New Bowl Projections

Kentucky was off this weekend, but the Wildcats got plenty of help from other teams.

Outside of Georgia going down, Kentucky’s biggest assist came from Iowa State. The Cyclones dismantled No. 6 West Virginia 30-14.

Following the WVU loss, Kentucky is now being projected to play vs. Texas in the Peach Bowl in Atlanta.

Here’s an excerpt:

No. 6 West Virginia, which lost 30-14 at Iowa State, has dropped out of those projections entirely and has been replaced by Kentucky. The Wildcats are one of the more pleasant surprises this season and have positioned themselves for a shot at the Peach Bowl. I have Kentucky taking on No. 9 Texas in Atlanta. The Mountaineers are now projected to the Alamo Bowl.
