Officiating was not the reason Kentucky lost to Vanderbilt last night, but the referees were certainly inconsistent and missed a few calls that didn’t help the Wildcats.
At one point, John Calipari was so frustrated that he sarcastically clapped at one of the officials while staring him down.
Here’s the moment when Cal had finally had enough:

The calls that most fans seem to be frustrated with from the game are Jacob Toppin’s “cylinder” violation, the foul on Cason Wallace that was actually a Vandy player tripping on his own teammate’s foot and all the touch fouls that immediately stopped Kentucky’s momentum over and over.
Antonio Reeves was called for an offensive foul AFTER being wrapped up…
Calipari not happy.
Kentucky didn’t make the plays to win, but the officiating was definitely questionable. pic.twitter.com/Lxax8eVwkn

For the second game in a row, the officials have failed to do their job and have let the game get too physical.
Vandy’s Colin Smith is clearly bearhugging Oscar, but he tries to get free and is given a flagrant-1.
It’s not fair, but it’s the rule. Oscar has to be responsible. pic.twitter.com/Jj9bTdUkPT
