The Baltimore Orioles had a bizarre accident in the on deck circle during this afternoon’s game against the Rays.
Cedric Mullins was getting ready in the on deck circle when teammate Jorge Mateo stepped in to pick up an extra bat weight. Mullins accidentally struck Mateo in the back of the head, which knocked him out of the game. Thankfully Mateo was wearing his batting helmet.
