Warren Central wrapped up a 36-1 season with a 64-60 win over George Rogers Clark in the KHSAA boys’ basketball state championship game last night.
Kade Unseld, Damarion Walkup and Omari Glover scored 17 points apiece to lead the Dragons to their first state title in 19 years. Chappelle Whitney was named Sweet 16 MVP after posting 10 points and 8 rebounds. Izayiah Villafuerte dished out 5 assists.
The game was a rematch from last season’s state championship game, which was won by GRC.
