Kentucky 2014 signee Trey Lyles led Arsenal Tech to a 87-84 win over the Ballard Bruins at the Marshall County Hoopfest today.
Lyles finished with 30 points, 19 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks and 2 steals in the overtime thriller where he also broke his school’s all-time scoring record. He was 10-16 from the field and 9 for 14 from the free throw line.
Arsenal Tech led 24-2 at the end of the first quarter, but Ballard’s Quentin Snider, Kelan Martin and Jalen Perry brought the Bruins back within 8 points by halftime.
The game went back and forth and finally ended in overtime as Arsenal outscored Ballard 9-6 in the extra frame.
