The fans at Kroger Field were treated to a special rendition of the National Anthem on Saturday.
Marlana VanHoose, who is now a household name, delivered the Anthem as only she can for the sold out crowd:
For those of you who aren’t aware of VanHoose’s story, she was born with Cytomegalovirus (CMV) which hindered the development of her optic nerve, leaving her blind at birth with a diagnosis that she would not live past one year of age. After her first year her parents were told that the virus was in remission. A year later, VanHoose was diagnosed with a mild case of cerebral palsy.
Now 23, Vanhoose has overcame many obstacles to become a nationally-known singer.
