Vanderbilt recently announced an interesting decision to not allow students to attend home basketball games, including the Kentucky game, through January 24 due to the recent surge in COVID-19 cases.
Vandy is obviously trying to keep students safe from COVID, but the interesting part about the decision is that general fans will be allowed to attend the games and the arena will be operating at full capacity.

The three men’s basketball games that will be impacted are today’s game against South Carolina (Vandy is currently losing at home, by the way) and upcoming games against Kentucky and Tennessee.
Kentucky and Tennessee, of course, are two of the school’s most important home games.
Is is possible that Vandy is eliminating free student tickets in hopes of banking on big bucks from Kentucky and Tennessee fans?
The tickets for the Kentucky game are currently going for $100-200 on StubHub.com and other secondary sites.
