The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men’s Basketball entered Tuesday night’s contest against College of St. Joseph (VT) with big expectations, including remaining undefeated heading into conference play later this week. After exploding to a 52-28 lead at halftime, the Patriots would coast to a 91-57 victory. With the win, UC moves to 5-0 on the season.
BY THE NUMBERS
• The Patriots spread out the scoring on the night with 11 of their 12 players scoring in the game.
• Xavier Owens (Tampa, FL) went 8-10 from the field for 20 points and 4 rebounds.
• D’Lando Carter (Danville, IL) pitched in 15 points while Jessie Pernell (North Augusta, SC) added 12 points and 5 assists.
• The Patriots outrebounded College of St. Joseph 43-37 in the contest.
• UC also held the Fighting Saints to just under 24% from the field and 15.4% from the three point line.

The Patriots will continue their home stand on Thursday, November 13th as they open up Mid-South Conference play against NAIA #8 Georgetown College. Tipoff is scheduled for 8 pm.
